This is a great program. Many people who are unaware of what it was during it's hey-day are ranking it a low score and it isn't right. This program was brought out of MS-DOS and into Microsoft Windows for enthusiasts to view art from art packs released by different art groups. (try blocktronics.org, acid.org or mistigris.org) . Back in it's initial release it was and has always been intended for the textmode art scene. It isn't a Photoshop competitor. If you want to rate it for real you should get your hands on the DOS version and give it a whirl - then rate. You don't have the foggiest clue what you've missed out on. -= m0shpit =-

Product documentation would be helpful-which is Ironic, considering this program is a document editor. What is "sauce"? Can I change the color of .nfo docs on a per-doc basis? Is this what "sauce" is? How do I implement this? Screw it, I'll just go to DAMN NFO viewer. Unfortunately.

Beware of ACiDView 6! I extracted the files and the Downloads folder is locked. AVG Internet Security wont find a virus and everytime I open Downloads folder it closes itself. So sad, now I gotta look for another antivirus and warn AVG support. Please dont try ACiDView 6!

Excellent nfo viewer. Has great read-ability using the Acid font compared to Damn NFO Viewer. But I'm not a fan of the file pane displaying and it doesn't remember the position and shape of the window or file pane when it's opened next time. I'd like to see a toggle button for the file pane just left of the top bar menu or the toggle button to toggle the file pane and the top menu. I'm looking for a totally clean text window since that's all it's for; double-click an nfo file and pop a clean display of your file with the borders set where they were left last time (or a default shape and position saved in prefs). Also, absent the file pane, Damn's choice of displaying the file path & name at the bottom is better than the settings info displayed by Acid.

The best ANSI Art Viewer around. Works just fine under WINE on Linux. On the downside, doesn't support ANSI art animations.
